ITEM ORDERING was created by chris jones
I have one category with several sub items. I cannot get the items to order as i want them to.
kindersleyfire.ca/index.php?option=com_k2&view=itemlist&layout=category&Itemid=22
I have the following option set up
Category -- Category Item Layout -- Item Ordering -- ORDER
No matter what i do to change it, it will just leave the items in a last added first order...
Any ideas
Thanks in advance

Sorry I also should have said that no matter what i change ORDER to (alphabetical for example), it just keeps the same order as i have added them in, it`s as if I am changing the wrong setting

Are you sure you are editing the right setting? Maybe you have parameters to the menu item or the inherit is set to get from another category parameters.

Is the trickey part about clicking the little icon for order and then the save at the top of the order column instead of the normal apply causing problems?

Thanks guys, I have figured it out, I had to change the settings in menu parameters as my category is directly under my menu option, I think this will be the answer for a few other posts i have seen on here too, I will try and find them and answer them

Hey Chris, I think I have the same problem, but my menu params are greyed out. Do you know how to turn them on?

This happened to me to LOWNOTES, i had no idea how to fix it and i just started a new K2 so i just started over again with the correct params, they seem to grey out after you set them first time, if you find out how to fix it let me know...

Ok, this is what I found. My problem is a little different.
1) The menu params are grey if you only have one category selected, if you select more than one they will turn on. But this wasn't really what I wanted and changed the layout significantly.
2) My problem was due to the fact that I had nested categories. I solved my problem with the Sub Category ordering option. Found on the Category View Options panel.
