Hello,

i am getting a white screen trying to transfer my website. i use Akeeba to transfer from my shared hosting to my Cpanel Virtual Dedicated server.. i have two similar website the only difference is the one with the K2 component is causing this problem.. when trying to transfer.. 

please inform me of what i should do to fix this problem..

K2 shouldnt interfere with akeeba kickstart restoration of a site reguardless of where you are kickstarting it to. The error if one should come up when you load the site on a server isnt k2 friendly. If you have already got the site to load, check with the host and first be sure you have mb_encoding enabled on the new server.

The transfer of the files and tables by akeeba are only automations (very good ones) of things you can do manually

hi its not akeeba its got to be something between the godaddy virtual server and k2  component

Eaisest to call godaddy if your server is assisted

I had both vps and dedicated with godaddy and they can make it work with k2

 

there not helping me.. they want to charge me for assistance.. thats a joke..

 

its not managed.. i manage it myself.. i went in and changed some settings but it did not work

 

 im thinking i need to change the php.ini file.. do you know how to do this?

does any one know?

I would search for documentation on the exact vps your working with on godaddys knowlegebase and backup before changing things around

nope i cant find a solution i guess i have to either remove k2 and make site from skretch with out it or change server company....
