problem adding youtube module to K2 site was created by Mitch Kahn
In all fairness I don't know if this is a K2 or Joomla issue. Any insight will be appreciated. The site templeemanuelgr.org was recently ported to K2.

I tried uploading "plugyoutubeembed" and "mod_sp_simple_youtube" both of which either locked up during the upload or returned the following message: "JFolder::create: Could not create directory Warning! Failed to move file." We didn't have a problem adding modules and plugins until after we began using K2.

I did a chmod to 777 recursively and tried to upload again. I received the same results. (I have since set the permissions back to their safer and more restrictive state).

What could be causing these upload problems? Could they be related to K2?

Thanks.

This is a problem with your permissions on the server. K2 has nothing to do with it. Check the Directory Permissions from that tab in Help->System Info in the joomla backend.

Thanks for the tip Yiota.

The tmp directory, which is "unwriteable" is on an incorrect path. It is showing test.templeemanuelgr.org/tmp and it should be templeemanuelgr.org/tmp there is no "test" sub-domain. Can this be changed, and if so, how?

I figured it out and edited the config file. Thanks for the tip on the help menu.
