I'm an old Joomla 1.0 user and have been patiently waiting for Joomla 1.6 mostly to get the option to set up different user groups and have menus and content exclusive for those.

But it looks like it will be a while longer before we have DOCman and Virtuemart fully working in the new Joomla. It even looks like we will see a Joomla 1.7 this summer (2011) which of course will delay both DOCMan and Virtuemart even further :(

So now i'm looking into using the Joomla 1.5 anyway, and maybe K2 can give me the user access features i need?

 

Can i with K2 set up two different user groups (group1 and group2) that each get their own items in the main menu and that have their own exclusive content that other can't see or search for?And that group1 doesn't see the group2 menu items and pages and so on?

 

If above is possible, would it also be possible to have some items in Virtuemart only visible to these special group1 and group2?
