I have the latest release of K2 and have had some very serious spam issues.

 

Comments were enabled in the public area, however, comment auto-publishing was switched off and all requests were being sent to the site admins.  The spam bypassed the auto-publishing=off setting and managed to submit content directly to the site - admins didn't even get an alert.  When I try and do this in person the site stops me!

 

I have switched comments off for now, however, the spam was particuarly appauling and I'm hoping that serious damage to site and company is averted.

 

Has anyone had this?  I'm looking at using captcha, however, surely this should not happen?
