Been trying to add create a way of controlling the long list of tags I've got

At the moment I've got 40 and rising so tag list is too long to just list by menu is there an alternate way of listing the tags for site users?

 

In an ideal world I'd like to have the category name e.g. piano ( and number of articles with tag in e.g 42)

5 or 6 most popular tags and then a link to a page with the list of tags in it.

 

So far tags don't seem entirely stable -

- With undefined tags which I resolved by not clicking and just pressing enter :)

- Items stripping tags -  resolved by turning on tags in items and adding a few tags to pages and then turning off setting - this allows me to then add tags to articles any other way and they just disappear

 

Looked extensively in JED and googled but no luck for an extension so far

Hi Paul,

 

I cant see why it would not be possible, but I am no coder, so I would like to invite any of the budding developers who use K2 to step and make a module to do such a think.

We can then release it on the simon.getk2.org site as a free module with full credit going to the developer.

 

Any takeers.
