I have attempted to install K2 several times and I keep encountering the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_internal_encoding() in /home/comguy/public_html/new/administrator/components/com_k2/tables/k2category.php on line 49
I have followed the instructions at
community.getk2.org/notes/A_quick_step-by-step_guide_on_installing_and_setting_up_K2 to the letter and as soon as I get to step 6 I fill in the form with the Title, and I make a selection for Inherit parameter options from category, Associated "Extra Fields Group". When I press Save, I get the Fatal Error.
I believe I download the latest release of K2 (K2 v2.4.1) at
getk2.org/ today several times. Unfortunately, it doesn't work out of the box as advertised! Any ideas why this would be happening?
