I don't think that would work in my situation.

I don't think I can do that. I have a .componentheading which is my header, and underneath I straight away have the form (which I want to put a top and bottom background as I have in my k2 items).

For K2 I use class suffix, but it doesn't work here.

By the way, i'm not using k2 searh module, I'm using rokajax search!
