I'm in the front end creating an item. When I use the dropdown option for selecting the proper category I can only select the first category I created the other ones are written in grey and I can't select them. When I try posting from the back end I don't have this problem. How can I unblock all this categories for posting for the front end?

 

There's only one mother category I would like to leave blocked so users can only post in it's subcategories. How can I do that as well?

You will have to edit the K2 User Group permissions. Select there which categories you want the group to edit or not.
