I am wondering if there is an extension for K2 that will allow clients to choose any combination of items and then go to a "shopping cart" page that will have a button which will allow them to send a request for a price quote. Our site is not a store for consumers. We have a separate site for that. We just want potential and current clients to be able to get quotes on large orders.

Does anyone know of any extensions that have that functionality? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds like 95% e-commerce functionality. I think you're better off using an e-commerce extension and hacking it up for your needs.

ive never used this but it seems like it would work well if you're going the Joomla K2 route
