Hi Guys...

This is the first time I used K2. I need two months to finish this site. It's experiencing very slow loading. Though I have been compressed css, js, and also use the jacompress plugin. Is there anyone can help me, thanks in advance.

Bumping this issue as I am also experiencing slow loading K2 articles.

 

On the very same site under the same conditions, Joomla articles take 1 second to load, K2 articles take 17 seconds.

 

The number of articles is minimal, merely a few dozen, and I have tried the varying methods for speeding up K2 found throughout the forum.

 

There is also another thread in this forum with slow loading K2 cats, and this issue has been resolved in 2.41. However I am using 2.4.1 and the issue does not appear with categories pages only articles.

 

Our site is running on a VPS with cPanel and is live but has no users at the moment other than one or two developers, so the problem has nothing to do with traffic or server load.

Cache on or off hardly makes a difference.

 

Joomla debug shows -

 

When loading a K2 article pageApplication afterDispatch: 15.976 seconds, 11.92 MB

When loading a Home page running several modules that gather data from k2Application afterDispatch: 0.105 seconds, 8.83 MB

 

When loading a standard joomla content page

Application afterDispatch: 0.120 seconds, 9.48 MB

 

16 second difference for 2 MB?

 

Any help regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Through trial and error,  fixed issue with slow loading K2 article pages by disabling the following option in K2 paramters-•Enable TinyURL integration for 'Tweet this' link•

K2 articles now load in 1 second instead of 17

However I believe the issue may have to do with domain name resolution.

That´s as far as i know and can tell anyone with the same issue.
