I am not able to figure out how to add templates to K2. I followed the instructions and when I go to category view, the drop down just has the default listed.

 

Here is what I did. I copied the templates folder from component/com_k2 to the templates/thetemplateIamusingfolder/html/com_k2

 

Is this correct?

Copy the "default" folder from YourSiteRoot/components/com_k2/templates/default

to YourSiteRoot/templates/YourTemplateName/html/com_k2/templates/default

Make a copy of default there and rename it

Edit the files inside the new override folder
