I am trying to get a secondary template design for one of my K2 categories.


Right now I have all my categories with menu items and a joomla theme/template assigned to those menu items.


I followed the K2 template intructions exactly by copying the files from the component folder and putting them into the templates folder, templates/mytemplate/html/com_k2. I had to create the com_k2 folder (I'm not sure if its suppose to be there already).


When I go back into my categories in K2, there is nothing in the dropdown menu. Am I missing something obvious that is not clear in the instructions? The sub templates are not working for me.

 

I need help with this.

Try creating one more folder under the one you already did....make it templates

templates/mytemplate/html/com_k2/templates

then put the default folder there

copy and rename the default folder - make changes, and it should show up in your picklist
