Hi Simon and all fellow K2 people,

I always use k2 on all my clients sites but recently have become addicted to jQuery. Unfortunately jQuery does not work with the modal script used by K2 for frontend editing.

I know all about jQuery noConflict and all the Joomla plugins that can do it for you but the conflict is not caused by a jQuery script but is a conflict with the whole jQuery library. So if you include the jQuery library (even at the bottom of the template so it loads last) then the k2 frontend editing modal box has issues.

It looks like k2 uses a Joomla default modal box? - Squeezebox?

So how can the conflict be resolved and be done without hacking the Joomla core?

I know many other people must have this issue since is happens on a fresh install...

Hi Leo, sorry I'm still looking for a solution. So far it seems you just have to deal with each issue on a case by case basis. Hopefully someone will help us soon!
