Video preview looks ugly was created by Anna Petyaeva
I use k2 category to form video-album on my site. But i can't get normal small previews (thumbs) for my video. What should i do to resize my big thumbs?

Using youtube.

I'd like to have small previews in category view and big ones in item view. And i need small previews in k2_content module for the last items (last video).

Are you using the JW AllVideos plugin. If yes, the you can use syntax like

{youtube}videoid|600|450{/youtube}

You can control the width and height of the video by changing the 600 and 450 values according to your need.

Yes certainly - i use JW AllVideos and I know about this function.

But i place video through video tab in k2-article and the system form this construction {youtube}videoid|600|450{/youtube} itself.

But i need 2 thumbnails: one for category view (and for last item module) and one for full article view. Now the system takes the size from  JW AllVideo settings. And there is the only variant of thumbnail size. If i could insert the second variant for small thumnails...

OK, if you're placing the video from the video tab. Then, you can try setting the video height and width in Item View Options In Category Listing and Item View Options. There is an input box for you to set the video width and height.

Can you take a screenshot and show us, both the category listing and the item view page. Need to understand "ugly" :)

I use thumbs from youtube and put them as item images. Simple and beautiful. Everything looks good.

What about Ugly thumbs - they had big black paddings and the picture was compressed from left and right)))

Now I got rid of hwdvideoshare, got a video album in k2 and think it's the best solution for me.

I have an idea: the fewer components you use the better your website works.
