I have a situation where the categories repeat exactly their selves per each section, only with different content, how would you recommend I complete the category layout in k2 so that the pages are called correctly and it is not considered a duplicate issue

 

Additionally we have two business models under the same roof with the exact same layout below only different categories compared to the first business model.

 

The categores look something like this as examples only

 

Live Webinars :

       Foreclosuer

       Renting

       Buy and Hold

       Flipping

 

Archived Webinars :

       Foreclosuer

       Renting

       Buying and Hold

       Flipping

 

Informative Videos :

       Foreclosuer

       Renting

       Buy and Hold

       Flipping

 

Experts ;

       Foreclosuer

       Renting

       Buy and Hold

       Flipping

 

Any suggestions how I should name theses in the title alias and the title to prevent any conflicting problems if there would be  and more importantly not to cause my self any problems with spiders crawling..

 

 

 

K2 allows categories with the same name. Best to have the sub categories with the same names and not the top level categories. Look at each category, there is a category id that all things internal use. What you have should work.

caveat - i have not tested with sef

Well I know I could just throw them up there but I am not sure it will give me some good result with the spiders... I am looking for suggestions how I could do this instead of how I am going this..

I also feel it should work and agree with William White about having Sub Categories with the same name and not the top level categories.

       lw-foreclosuer - Title Alias or

Just to make clear, because I still think seo is my biggest concern, we are operating under two business models under one roof.... Each business model has the same top level categories but at least each top level business model has different categories under it...  So the example is more like this and concerns me to have the same top level names so much.

   (both business models are under the same roof), and I keep thinking the first time a spider sees Live Webinars, they will not index the other pages that say Live Webinars.
