I made some sample categories and sub categories using K2. Then I added a few items. Last, I made menu items to link them together.

 

My problem is that when I click one one menu item everything shows up together. How do I make each item show up separately?

 

This is what I want to achieve. I want one main category then a few sub categories for each one.

Then I only want one item to show up when each item is clicked.

 

Main

     Sub Ct. 1

        Item one

        Item two

     Sub Ct. 2

          Item one

        Item two

Have you tried the setting at Category -> K2 Parameters -> Category options and Item View in Category options ?

I did try that but it has not worked. Is there any specific parameter  that I need to change?

 

Is there a tutorial or another thread that can show me how to create categories and sub-categories?

The defalt way set is up like this

Main

Category1      Category 2

and you have to click int them to get the items

To get what you want

put com_k2 content modules in different positins of your template and specify only a single category in each of them

I thought I did that. Is my structure wrong in any way?  I have a picture of it on the first post its the K2_category.png.
