Suddenly, after installing and configuring JCE editor, my front-end users are not seeing the User Menu on the Front Page.  Nor are any of the articles on the Front Page editable.  There are no "edit" icons.

 

But if you navigate to any other page, the user menu is over on the left like it's always been before, and the content items can be edited.

How could this happen?

What version of jce are you using?

Also, what version of joomla/k2

I have seen this here on the forum before and i think it had to do with versions

J1.5.22

JCE 2.0.1

(i should say I don't know for certain it's related to JCE - that's just the only thing I remember editing right before noticing this)

Try uninstalling Jce and testing, first...

If that fixed the problem try getting an earlier version of jce

I disabled JCE and that worked.

 

I'm going to try to get an earlier version and see if it works, thanks.

I reverted to JCE 1.5.7.13 and it seems to work fine.
