I have added a few custom VM fields (columns) to jos_vm_product and have their input available in the VM backend.  They work great except for one exception I am hoping someone can help with.  Updating the K2 items (or K2Mart aspect of an item) makes these custom columns in mysql null (empty).  Is there a way to prevent K2 from updating these custom fields.  The way it stands now, I have to add the K2 item, then update the corrosponding VM product with the custom data and I can't re-touch the K2 item or it will wipe out the custom entries.
