hi, does anyone know how to show the latest item on the front page?

like here:

www.dekrachtvaninnerlijkwerk.nl/joomla/

 

the 5 latest are displayed, but i only want the last article displayed (only 1), not the latest 5

If you have 5 showing and you only want one to show and dont want to change anything else, edit the module and change the number to show to 1, adjust other settings to your preferences

Go to whichever level category that you have your parameters set up.  Then go to "Item View" and at the bottom there is a box that has the number entered for however many items you want to show.
