I have checked all discussions considering the problem, but still have some doubts how to get on my particular case:

1) one of suggestions of Olivier was just to delete improper tags (I have 15000 tags after importing 1000 articles) directly in database. The questions are: in with table(s)? If I delete them in _tags_ table what happens with links from _items_ tables?

2) most of my old articles in Joomla have proper METAKEYS that I would like to import as a tags. But they have as well proper METADESC and seems that during the import tags are generate from METADESC and introtext (read-more) part. May be just for the import moment, I can limit the tags generation only to tags defined within METAKEYS? This would be the ideal solution for me.
