Are there any recent updates on this issue? I seriously cant figure this one out. Have tried to change item.php and user.php but no luck. Please help, this is kinda urgent.

I thought this was changes in 2.4.2 - either way look in item.php and change

 "user->name" to "user->username" in the foreach loop in the code that displays the comments.

Apparently not.
