I cannot seem to find the code to where to look to remove the Comments and Hits buttons under the article on the main page.

Take a look in Backend - K2 - Category - and there in the Options on the right side. Hide the Options you want to.

my changes were for the front k2 blog area where it displays the image and article, under that it shows the hits, comments and read more link.  My direction is to completely remove the hits and comments buttons and only show the read more tab,  but to remove these two buttons is hidden in the code somewhere and i have searched without success.
