Same problem here.
I upgraded K2 from 2.5.4 to 2.5.7 and now I get this error when I create a new item.
The item is still created but I get this error.
Anyone ?

I've never seen such bad support.
Every question I have, I do a search for and find someone else asking the same question in here but with no answers.

Well another forum was able to help me fix this.

And oh, it only took 30 minutes all together. :woohoo:

Okay so for those not part of joomlabamboo...

This is what happened:

1.I was told to go to

extensions -> extensions manager -> database tab

If it shows any problems, click on the fix button and see if it's working then.

But that didn't do anything. but it might have helped as it wasn't happy at first.

2. Then I was told

When you are in the admin side of your site, if you use the following url, do you see any errors?

/administrator/index.php?option=com_finder

I got 2 errors and below it said this:

Smart Search content plug-in is not enabled. Changes to content will not update the Smart Search index if you do not enable this plug-in.

3. I was asked to also try the discover button near the database one to see if there are any partial installs

4. I had a bunch of search plugins not totally installed it seamed.

5. I was told to check all the boxes next to the search stuff I found and click on install and then check the db tab again to see if it needs updating again.

6. My errors were gone.

I am trying to add extra items to a catagory on my website called services.

The problem is once i have created a new item and hit save i get this message 'Error loading component: com_finder, 1' in the backend. On the frontend the new item has been created but it's not in line (straight) with the other items and a nasty piece of code appears on the top of the page saying,

Warning: implode() [function.implode]: Invalid arguments passed in /home/content/03/10031203/html/templates/theme887/html/com_k2/templates.

I have tried repairing the database section in extensions manager and going into discover section but there is nothing to install.

I also have this message when i type /administrator/index.php?option=com_finder

Smart Search content plug-in is not enabled. Changes to content will not update the Smart Search index if you do not enable this plug-in.

Underneath is 3 k2 items.

I'm at a bit of a loss now. Please can someone give me some advice. It would be massily helpful.

Well the good news is that the problem has been fixed :woohoo:

Can't give a partiularly technical explanation why, but here is what i did.

I went to the 'Menu manager: Edit Menu Item' i clicked 'basic options' then under 'Layout options for multiple category selection' i changed the 'select a template' to default. :) :cheer:

Seems to have fixed the problem. However I'm still getting the error message: Error loading component: com_finder, 1, but at least now it't tidy with no nasty code on the site.
