hi, has anyone experienced this? When I try to install K2_v2.5.7.zip on to a newly installed Joomla 2.5.6. I go the following message:

JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file

But the table under the "K2 Installation Status" shows everything as "Installed". Briefly looking around seems like every things is OK except that there is no K2 link in the Component drop menu in Administrator. I can only access the component from Control Panel. What am I missing here?

Hi. Open phpMyAdmin and find the table #__menus. Find the K2 entry and remove it. Then install K2 again ( do not uninstall if you do not want to loose your data ).
