but it is not recording, maybe because of the redirect? any help would be appreciated.

Seems like this is not possible with the way that K2 uses an interim url that forwards to the file. A different way to go would be to modify K2 to allow file attachments to be directly downloaded.

Does anyone know of a way to modify K2 to allow this?
