Is there any way to keep the iptc metadata in the image files when imported with K2 ?

Hi. Unfortunatelly this is not supported. If you are familiar with PHP you can do it yourself by modifying the /administrator/components/com_k2/lib/class.upload.php file which is the class that is manipulating the images in K2.

Unfortunatelly I'm not familiar with PHP.

I hope this will soon be integrated in K2 : for protect professional photos this is really necessary....

K2 is using class.upload.php by Colin Verot for manipulating the images. You can also ask for this feature directly to his site at www.verot.net/php_class_upload.htm
