K2 Forcing HTTPS on Images Hosted at HTTP was created by Adam Singh
Hello K2 Support Team,

I've recently added an SSL Certificate to my site and now am having issues with K2 displaying images hosted on sites that are HTTP.

For example, on this item,

the image that should be displaying in the middle of the article is:

However, K2 is forcing it to be:

which is causing the image to break and not display. Can you assist me in fixing this issue?

Thanks,

Adam

Hi. K2 images are loaded by a relative path in order to work as they should both under http and https. The image that is not loaded is inside the content, it's not a K2 image. So you can go and edit the image to be whatever path you want. If you edit it but it still reverts to https then check the editor you are using for any relevant settings.

Hello Lefteris,

I'm using JCE 2.2.6 and I went through the Global Configuration and Editor Profiles but didn't see a setting that might be causing this issue. Would you be able to point me to a specific setting that I might investigate?

Thanks,

Adam

Did you try to edit the introtext and place http links instead of https? Also check that you do not have the "Forse SSL" setting to yes. I am not sure about this but this may force all links to SSL.
