Hello everybody.

I am new with k2 and think its a great comp.
but ive got a problem with saving the config file.

the main config opens in a lightbox and first i only want to change some variables for the article images, for a try.
everytime i click on save it doesn't work. i only can use cancel.

when i want to try to save it directly in bbedit at the xml file it takes no effect.
cant fount any data at the db.

Using k2 2.5.7
on Joomla 1.5.26
PHP-Version 5.2.17
MySQL-Version 5.0.95-log

Hi. Probably there is a javascript error on your page that is causing that. So check your page for errors. Also note that you do not need to modify XML files. The settings are saved in the database.

which javascript should cause an error.
dont activated something special.
then it must be the core js from the joomla administration that crashes with the k2.

dont know where it could be !?
can you give me a hint where i could start to solve this problem !?

or this could be a browser problem ...
know this from my other sobi on a other site. there is one form too, that dont work with safari, but with firefox.

I've got the Problem.

To solve this Problem you have to change to an other browser.

So the Main-Config did not work with Safari 5.0

So i used Firefox to try the changes and now it works.

Hi. Just tested with Safari 5 with no issues. Do you get the same behaviour in Joomla! articles or just in K2? It may be a conflict with some other extension.

its a clean joomla installation (1.5.26)
and only k2 installed at the moment.
got no issues with the core article manager. only the k2 configuration.

Are you on a local environment? K2 tries to load jQuery from Google CDN so if you do not have internet access when testing you might face those kind of issues.

I have similar problem. When I try to save new K2 configuration (parameters menu in lightbox) and I click Save or Save and Close system reload window & switch to Joomla Global Configuration.

I'm using newest Firefox and Chrome. I have current version of K2 and Joomla, so where is problem?

I'cant apply changes i.e. captcha settings. Effect?A lot of spam in comments base.:(
