I can't figured out how to disable my modules to not showing up in the k2 items page (articles).

I have configured the modules to only to be showing up on the frontpage, but when I open at k2 items from the frontpage all my modules are showing up.

I have linked my frontpage menu link directly to the k2 categories page.


How can i do this?

Hi. Joomla! loads modules depending on the menu. So even if you are in the item page you are in the frontpage for Joomla! since it didn't detect any other menu link for this content. In order to solve this, try to make a menu link to the item category.

Thanks. I did managed to get a workaround, with only include the main categories for each items and not the sub-categories.

Hi Erland, can you explain how you overcame the problem in little more detail? I am facing the same problem of not being able to disable modules (which were made for homepage) on K2 pages. Thanks in advance.

Hi. This is not a problem. This is how Joomla! works. It associates modules with menu links. If you do not create menu links then all your pages will inherit the homepage menu link which means that they will also show the same modules. Just create a menu link for the page you don't want to show the modules and then edit the module.
