Hi,
I have changed my default site search to the Smart Search option.
(I'm using K2 v. 2.5.7 on Joomla 2.5.6)

This has provided some search suggestions that are fine like author, category etc but it has also put things in like country (author location I think) and language.

Is there any way I can remove the options form the list that I do not want as it makes things rather messy.

I have found extensions to add extra functionality but I do not really need to pay to have more options I just need to have less than the default ones.

Hi. This has nothing to do with K2. Smart seacrh is a different component included in Joomla! 2.5.

Thanks for that, as it is listing the K2 individual setting I assumed it was part of K2. Many thanks I'll keep searching for the best search system for my site.

Smart search is brand new in Joomla! and it's considered quite good. If it has not options for removing the elements you do not want you can probably remove them in the layouts or hide them using CSS.
