Hello,

I am new to k2 but i am using joomla for some time now.

When i try to make a new category or a new item i keep getting this error:

500 - An error has occurred.

Is this a known error or/and what can i do about it. I really want to use k2 because it looks nice.

I am using the newest version of joomla and k2.

I added some more info i could find :

Hi. What versions of K2/Joomla! are you using exactly? Try to reinstall K2.

Same error when i install it again. I see this error coming by al over internet so it has to be a known issue

I am using Joomla! 2.5.6 and k2 2.5.7

Found the anwser myself ..THe problem was that the site was build on a local server. The local server setting for Path to Log Folder where not right. This is what casuing the error.

Simply change it --> log and it will work fine.

can you explain me how exactly you fixed this issue and where is the log folder please

/logs and /tmp, they are both located on your root folder and should be properly defined inside configuration.php
