K2 and image name was created by nicola
Hi,
for "my first post" I ask if there's a way to FTP directly images in items/src folder, my need is to automate the creation of product from an ERP SW, I yet create interface via XMLRPC and VM, so my last step is modify some query and put images on K2.
I see that there's no field with "image name", like VM, I understand the security problem, but my need is to directly save.
Thanks for any help
Nicola

K2 show image that it finds in /cache or src folder? I ask because I create images files like hash value and in cache append something like: "_L.jpg", "_XL.jpg" and so on but no image in product (both front / back K2)
Thanks

Hi. The src folder contains the original image a user uploads. K2 uses the images in the /media/k2/items/cache directory. Each item image is resized in 6 different sizes. That's what the "_L", "_XL" etc. mean on the filenames.

Thanks for reply, I see, my problem was an FTP permission error on uploaded images
I confirm this upload for "Image148":
/cache
3d10c9c21f6f61faeefd4aa27b190def_Generic.jpg
3d10c9c21f6f61faeefd4aa27b190def_XS.jpg
3d10c9c21f6f61faeefd4aa27b190def_L.jpg
3d10c9c21f6f61faeefd4aa27b190def_M.jpg
3d10c9c21f6f61faeefd4aa27b190def_S.jpg
3d10c9c21f6f61faeefd4aa27b190def_XL.jpg

/src
3d10c9c21f6f61faeefd4aa27b190def.jpg

and now works very well. Thanks for reply Lefteris
