i installed the package downloaded from the home page, and it said installation completed, but some files are either missing or not configured correctly.

firstly, all menu items are named "com_[menu item]" which i think is caused by a language file?

secondly, as soon as i want to create a category, the page doesn't load correctly and thus cannot save the new category. Screenshot is attached.

please assist me as i would like to start using the component a.s.a.p

Hi. If you have a language other than English installed in your Joomla! site you also need to install the corresponding K2 language pack. A list of K2 language packs can be found at getk2.org/extend/translations. After that turn on error reporting to get any errors.
