I want to create a menu item that will generate a catalog layout (like this: demo.getk2.org/catalog) from my selected K2 categories (or all K2 categories).

It seems that I can not do that directly from the Menu Manager, as selecting "Categories" as type, it shows all articles (items) from the Categories and not the Categories themselves.

Hi. This is a menu link to a parent category containing the three children. So you need to make a menu link just to the parent category. Then make sure that the setting "Sub-category blocks" is set to "Show". This can be found on the category settings.

However, below the sub-categories there are items (articles) shown. How can I hide them?

There is also a setting for this. It's called "Catalog mode". Set it to "Yes".

I found this (old) thread which helps me with my mission. But for me, there is the text "Children categories" shown above the listet subcategories. Can I disable this somewhere?

Hello Christian, did you found the solution , I have the same problem !!! and dont know where to change this or at least that the Subcategorie name is shown right and not like "Children categories"
