I am using K2 2.5.7 in my joomla 2.5.4 site.I do not want pop up window during add new item from front-end.

How could I disable/remove it ?

When I try to remove JRequest::setVar('tmpl', 'component'); from item controller,I got blank page.

Hi. You are not recommended to do this since the editing is tighted to the modal. Disabling the modal will generate issues. If however you do not mind messing with this you can remove the "class="modal"" from the corresponding links.

Adding new items from the backend works perfectly without the modal popup, even on my mobile phone.

I want to disable the modal popup when adding items on the front end because it will not work on a mobile phone.

Is there an easy solution??
