I am new to K2 and would like to ask a question about searching.

I am creating a site with events. Each event has a start-date and end-date (both fields created in K2).

Now I would like to search for events like this:
I put in a start and end-date and the search function should find any events where one day or more is matching.

Fx. my event is from 20-25 of September.

If I make a search from 18-21 of September it should be a match because both day 20 and 21 match some of the event days.

Both the input of events and the search should be done from front-end.

Is this possible? And if yes, how?
Can it be done directly in K2, do I need another component/module/plugin or do I need programming?

Hi. K2 extra fields are stored in JSON format in database and this means that search can only be made only matching their exact value. So the answer is no. There are some modules out there that create some filters based on the extra fields. You can try some of them and see if any fits your needs.
