I Upgraded 2.4.1 direct to 2.6.1 and have reinstalled it.
Problem is still there?

As suggested in another post I have just upgraded to to the SVN for 2.6.2

I Cleared & Purged the site cache and removed everything from browser cache too, tried with Firefox, Chrome & IE.

Still we cant change the author? When selecting the author, there is no dropdown as there once was, just now a link, that when you click on it opens in a new page (not pop up). In the new page clciking on anybodys name author or not, does nothing?

I am working around it by changing by PHPmyAdmin, but this is not really ideal.

Check your browser's console for any JavaScript errors. Also ensure that jQuery is loaded,

I checked Console in firebug and at first couldn't see any errors, but when I try and click on a users name to make them the author I see the following errors;

SyntaxError: unterminated string literal
[Break On This Error]

window.parent.jSelectUser('296', '80s arcade games

This one shows up first and is pointing towards line 1 col 33 /administrator/index.php?option=com_k2&view=users&task=element&tmpl=component

If I try to select a different user then this following error show and contines to show everytime I clik on a new user.

TypeError: window.parent.SqueezeBox is undefined
[Break On This Error]
if ( typeof (window.parent.SqueezeBox.close == 'function')) {

This seems to show on line 801 of media/k2/assets/js/k2.js?v=2.6.2
I have jquery set to 2.8 remote copy in K2 parameters

Thats spooky as Im just playing around with reinstalling K2.6.2 now as I still haven't got this resolved.

At the moment Im changing the authors vias PHPmyAdmin which isn't very good.

Ive tried to provide as much info as possible for the dev to help on here, but I think they've give up with it?


If I cant personally get this sorted on my own site in the next few days, I will look to migrate over to using Yoo Zoo. Already tested it and its fine.
the only problem is my users all know & like K2

I use K2 & Zoo about 50/50 in some other sites and I think both have the pros & cons.

Anyway I tried that other solution just now, I found 2 blank users and got excited thinking my problem is solved, but alas it did not fix it.

what i do not understand is we should not be the only one in that case???
Do not understand why we are not receiving any help from the K2 community or admin?
