I have recently set up a site with K2 on Joomla 2.5.7, everything is up to date.
I have installed the Disqus plugin and it appears to work on the site however it is generating a massive error_log file on the server. The file is full of lines like:
[02-Oct-2012 11:20:56 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Class 'JParameter' not found in /home/ukgay/public_html/plugins/k2/disqus_k2/disqus_k2.php on line 76
It get's to 500Mb in less than 24 hours. The line number at the end varies.

Hi. This is not related with K2, but you can add the following line in the top of the plugin file to stop the error:
