[SOLVED] Captcha error in registration form was created by Mariana Ramírez Figueroa
Hello, I'm having trouble with the registration form and reCaptcha, it is not recognizing the words entered:
After this, the system displays: The words you entered did not match those shown. Please try again.
Since I tried several times in different browsers and got the same result, I disabled the plugin and set it to NO in k2 parameters, but then it appears this error when I try to registrate a new user:
Fatal error: Call to a member function checkAnswer() on a non-object in /libraries/cms/form/rule/captcha.php on line 52
Does anyone knows how to fix this?

Hi. The plugin is not used by K2. K2 uses it's own implementation. So you need to just disable reCAPTCHA in K2 parameters. You can leave the reCAPCTHA plugin enabled.

Hello Lefteris, I did as you suggested but it didn't worked, so I uninstalled K2 and re installed it, disabled the recaptcha in K2 parameters and nothing... now when I try to register a new user it says "Non-blank answer allowed", I'm using K2 Login module.

If you have reCAPTCHA enabled ( either from K2 or Joomla! plugin ) you also need to set up it accordingly. You need to get a key from www.google.com/recaptcha. Also note that K2 uses reCAPTHA only in comments. Since you are getting it in registration page it's coming from Joomla!.

Hello, thanks! your answer gave me a hint on where to look... I have both the public and private key for reCaptcha.
It was in fact a problem from the Joomla upgrade. I had to put Captcha as None selected in Users Manager and Global configuration, and now it works.
Thanks again. Have a nice day! :)
