I'd like to create a page where a registered user could pick the category of content to view in 3 different module positions. It would be kind of like a simplified yahoo home page where you can choose which category of news and information you'd like in various positions. So one module position might be about sports. I'd like the user to be able to choose from a list of sports, basketball for instance, and the feed in that block would only show basketball news. Their preferences would be remembered when they logged in the next time. Can K2 accomplish this?

Hi. No K2 does not include this type of functionallity. You will need another extension which could possibly intregrate with K2.
