K2 v2.6 update broke front-end login module was created by natecovington
I am using the new "K2 User" module for front-end login... just updated my site to K2 v2.6 and I am getting 404 error messages when trying to sign using this K2 User module. 404 error messages when trying to log in and out. Had to use "login" menu item to sign in...

Details:

Hi. This is known issue. This is caused because there are some layout changes in mod_k2_login and mod_k2_user. You need to update your overrides corresponding.

Hi:

Forgive the newbee question here, but how would one go about ''updating their overrides correspondingly' to fix this problem..?

Hii Lefteris

I have same problem too.
When i try to add new k2_login modül, I have seen description tip as " k2_login modül will replace by k2_user modül on following k2 updates"
After saw that description, I added new k2_user modül to my login position.

But that can't solve my problem :(

I'm going to add myself to the list of people experiencing this issue.

It is on a brand new site running Joomla 2.5.7 and K2 2.6.1. I have NO module overrides.

Like others, logging in sends me to a 404 page. I have a redirect set within the module to go to the Home page on Login and Logout.

Anyone figured this out yet?

I get the 404 when i do not have a published menu link in the login redirect. When i select one the page is redirected properly

I have the same issue. Is there a definitive solution to this problem? I want my registered users to get a "Private Side Menu" to navigate. Thanks.

Resolved: I downloaded the K2 Overrides from getk2.org/documentation/tutorials/item/77-k2-template-override-package-comparison for my version (2.6.2) I copied over the new files for the k2_user module. All works fine now!!
