mine is in templates/templatename/css

edit: Sorry, I didn't notice you were talking about the default template. Mine is another.

The default one probably hasn't such file. See if the file in components/com_k2/css is the one you are looking for.

What I'm looking for is to understand where is the link to k2.css file in the components file stored into k2 default template.
Let's assume that I would like to use two kind of templates.
One for the home page and the secondo for the rest of my site
So that means that i need to edit two different css fie.
To do this job i need to find the path in the deafult teplate of k2.css file.

The k2.css file is not loaded in layout files. It is loaded by K2 core files. If you want to change it you can place it under /tenplates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/css/k2.css
