Should I update to the newest version even if I still use Joomla 2.5 and I do not plan for the moment to upgrade to Joomla 3.0?

I suggest u don't upgrade since i couldn't find a single item slider that works with 2.6.x

Also i am having problem with "Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded" when saving category that have like 100+ items in it.
