I've just got K2 up and running and am wondering is there is some place I can find a general process of getting a very basic site up and running? Like what do I set up first, next, etc. I've look at some of the video and don't find them all that useful and generally not basic enough. I am somewhat familiar with Joomla 2.5. Would appreciate any guidance someone can offer.

As k2 is a replacement for com_content you would go about setting the site up as you normally would but pick the k2 category or k1 item for your menu types. The module mod_k2 content would be used for the sidebars to display recent items etc
