I have been unsuccessful in installing K2 vs 2.6.1 in my Joomla 2.5.7 environment. Installing the zip file from Extensions Manager results in an error without further specification. Looking under the hood I can see that all the new K2 tables in the database got installed OK. The joomla_extensions table has just one K2 entry for the component, but no entries for K2 modules. No K2 entries in joomla_modules either.

None of the files from the installer got copied to the server. I could copy these manually of course, but without the proper database entries, I may not get very far.

Any clues? Thanks.

Please ignore. I have done a fresh installation of Joomla 2.5.7 and now K2 installs just fine.
