Is is possible to have an author for a category? What I am thinking is if I were to have a book on my site, the category would be the book, and then the chapters would be the category items. I'd like to have the author of the book (category) show up on the category page.

Is there a way to do this or any suggestions on how to go about it?

You can put whatever you want in the category desc. and you can also display the author of each item with the category settings

I was hoping to not have to add anything manually, I wanted to just assign an author to the category and have it show up at the bottom of the page like it does in the items.

I don't want the author to be shown on each entry (the chapters) in the category view.

I also want to reserve the category description for a description of the book.
