Front end add new item issue was created by zemadeiran
Hi Guy's,

This is the first time I am using K2 :)

I am also getting the dreaded buttons not closing or saving issue. I have trawled through every post via google etc but still no luck.

The modal box pops up ok but the k2.css is not loaded which may also have something to do with it maybe?

Joomla 2.5.7
K2 2.6.1

All plugins turned off except required ones, K2 jquery being loaded ok.

I can provide a link to the dev site and front end login details if required. Any help with this great component would be much appreciated.

Just a quick update in regards to this....

Applied the Atomic template and the add/edit form modal works as expected.

I have examined the code and it seems that neither k2.frontend.css or modal.css are being loaded by the modal window.

After some more digging I can see that on both my bespoke template and Atomic the entire head loads in correctly.

When examining the atomic modal source, the entire head is loaded including the kz calls.

When I switch to my template and examine the modal source, I get an empty head.

Can someone point me in the right direction in regards to making sure the modal pulls
<jdoc:include type="head" />
?

This is frustrating the shit out of me :(

OK peeps :)

Found the issue,
<jdoc:include type="head" />
was not in my templates component.php file :oops:

I take it that the K2 modal uses the plain component.php display without all the surrounding bollocks......

YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
