I've been ask to take over a big website made with Joomla! and K2.
I have to say i don't know alot about K2 :-S

1- On the home page, we have a Latest News thing which is suppose to show news from the most recent to the older one. Only problem is it does it the opposit way...which mean u have to go to the last page to see the latest news....no cool!

There for i've looked everywhere, tried to change the order etc etc but nothing will do it...

2- The website is the slowest one i've ever seen... don't know why, as i said i just took over the "project"..any idea?

If one of you could help me it would be nice..

Hi. The "Latest news" block on your site seems to be a menu link to K2 categories. You need to edit the menu link and set the ordering you wish. If the menu link is pointing to only one category you need to set the ordering in the category settings. Regarding the performance, try to enable Joomla! caching along with System - Cache plugin.

Ok, so i tried to follow your proposition, but it wont do...
My problem is the same when u clic on the "News" top left menu... see here

So i went on the TopMenu thing and i found the "Actualité" which is news..



As you can see, the order is from the most recent to the older....



And as u suggest, i went into the news category which is internal message as u can see ==>



And i put the order from recent to the older...==>



I am completly lost...nothing want's to move on that damn website :(

The date of the item is not present on your site. How can you verify that it is not working? Sort the items on the administration by creation date and compare the results. Also i noticed that your category inherits parameters from the "News" category, so probably you need to edit the "News" category.

I verified by looking in the database the dates... and trust me it's wrong...

I also changed the "news" category sorting, but nothing will change :(

I'll keep looking, but thanks for trying.

If you change the ordering in the menu and nothing changes, then probably you are editing the wrong menu item.
