OK, so I want to build a whole new website on Joomla 3.0... But I still have my K2 items all in Joomla 1.5..

I do not want to migrate or anything I just want to build a whole new website, but I want my old K2 articles in the new K2. How could I do this best?

Why would I first go to 1.7 if i want to end up at the latest version?

Isn't there a way to go from 1.5 to 3.0?

I havent tried it, but have managed to go from 1.5 to 2.5 then to 3.0

There is no upgrade path from Joomla! 1.5 to Joomla! 3.0. You need first to go to Joomla! 2.5. I also recommend to stick with Joomla! 2.5 since Joomla! 3.0 is not a long term support release.
